PMA 2009 Preview

The PMA 2009 International Convention and Trade Show is scheduled to take place March 3-5, 2009 at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. PMA is the largest photographic trade show in the world. Surrounding PMA are a number of new product announcements from camera, lens and accessory manufacturers. Each year, digital photography gearheads closely watch these announcements to see what the next best thing in the digital imaging realm might be.

Canon EOS 5D Mark II Hands-on Preview

Back in August 2005 Canon 'defined a new DSLR category' (their words) with the EOS 5D. Unlike any previous 'full frame' sensor camera, the 5D was the first with a compact body (i.e. not having an integral vertical grip) and has since then proved to be very popular, perhaps because if you wanted a full frame DSLR to use with your Canon lenses and you didn't want the chunky EOS-1D style body then the EOS 5D has been your only choice. Three years on and two competitors have turned up in the shape of the Nikon D700 and Sony DSLR-A900, and Canon clearly believes it's time for a refresh.

Nikon Lens Compatibility Table

These tables help figure out which lens does what on which camera. It's not a table of camera features for selecting a camera. Cameras vary more than I can fit in a table. Want to know my recommendation for the most flexible film camera ever, and a steal at 2007's used prices? Get an F4. It works with everything from 1959 through today with few exceptions.
