eceived my copy of Raynox HD6600pro-55 late Friday. Here are some of my initial findings. Again, due to bad weather, no images are available as of now.
The Nikon D90 ($999, body only) is the long-awaited replacement to the popular D80 digital SLR. The D90 sits between the D60 and D300 in Nikon's D-SLR lineup, though many of its features come from its more expensive sibling.
While it may look a lot like its predecessor, the D90 is essentially an all-new camera on the inside. The D90's most talked-about feature isn't its sensor, continuous shooting performance, or anything like that. Rather, it's the fact that it's the first D-SLR with a movie mode -- and in HD, no less.

It's hard to believe that over two years have passed since Aperture's launch. It seems like only yesterday that I was fielding e-mails from livid zealots and supportive professional photographers regarding my less-than-glowing review of the buggy, unfinished mess that was Aperture 1.0 (and see our follow-up look at Aperture 1.1). But much has changed in those two years, including a price drop from $500 to $200 to compete with Adobe's Lightroom. By version 1.5, most of the problems, missing features, and RAW quality issues were addressed.
The Coolpix P6000 ($499) is the flagship camera in Nikon's compact digital camera lineup. It features a 13.5 Megapixel CCD, a 4X wide-angle zoom lens, image stabilization, 2.7" LCD display, full manual controls, a hot shoe, and RAW format support. In addition to all that, the P6000 also has two very unique features: a built-in GPS receiver and an Ethernet port. Yes, you read that right, an Ethernet port, which is used to transfer photos to Nikon's My Picturetown service. Don't worry, the P6000 has a USB port, too!
Panasonic has released a firmware update for the Lumix DMC-LX3 digital compact camera. With version 1.2, the EXIF
data is correctly displayed on all JPEG files. It also improves the white balance in flash mode when connected to the
DMW-FL220 flash unit
Back in August 2005 Canon 'defined a new DSLR category' (their words) with the EOS 5D. Unlike any previous 'full frame' sensor camera, the 5D was the first with a compact body (i.e. not having an integral vertical grip) and has since then proved to be very popular, perhaps because if you wanted a full frame DSLR to use with your Canon lenses and you didn't want the chunky EOS-1D style body then the EOS 5D has been your only choice. Three years on and two competitors have turned up in the shape of the Nikon D700 and Sony DSLR-A900, and Canon clearly believes it's time for a refresh.
Canon today replaces its popular PowerShot A470 with a new 10.0 Megapixel model: the extra-compact, affordable PowerShot A480. Redesigned for even more intuitive operation, the PowerShot A480 offers a new build and design that is 25% smaller than that of its predecessor – in a choice of silver, red, blue or black .
These tables help figure out which lens does what on which camera. It's not a table of camera features for selecting a
camera. Cameras vary more than I can fit in a table. Want to know my recommendation for the most flexible film
camera ever, and a steal at 2007's used prices? Get an F4. It works with everything from 1959 through today with few
exceptions.
